Where do you fly?

Post by PNPC_Animal_Rescue » 4 months ago

In general, we fly within Canadian borders. Most of our volunteer general aviation pilots are based in the more populated regions of the country (example: in Ontario, our volunteer pilots are concentrated in the southern portion of the province - GTA, Ottawa, southwestern Ontario).

Volunteer pilots use their personal aircraft for these transports. Most have a limited range (somewhere between 500 - 800 kms one-way) and limited capacity (some of smaller planes can only hold a small dog of under 30 lbs., other planes might be able to hold 2 dogs weighing about 50 lbs each)

Petscorts may be able to assist if there are domestic carriers (and according to the domestic carriers policies with respect to pets) which fly the routing. Petscorts is the available option for inter-provincial transport (with the exception of between Montreal (YUL) and Toronto (YYZ)). Petscorts may be reached at: pnpc.petscort@pnpcanimalrescue.ca
